
Appetito Foods Authentic Artisan Aged Balsamic Vinegars
Our exquisite aged balsamic vinegar is made by the traditional artisan techniques used for centuries in Modena, Italy. Trebbiano and Lambrusco grapes from superior vines are pressed and reduced into syrup called mosto cotto. The syrup is then aged for 12 years in wooden barrels, rotating every two years to a new barrel made of a different woods from oak, acacia, mulberry, chestnut, cherry and juniper trees.
Quality is meticulously controlled at each stage creating a balsamic vinegar of supreme quality and taste.
